Based in Perth, Western Australia, Carson Street School's purpose is to support students with special needs.  Their mission is to help every child shine and their vision is to be recognised as a school of excellence for empowering students with disabilities.

To help achieve these objectives, a safe, supportive and inclusive school culture has been developed - one that that is inviting, engaging and inspiring for all members of the school community and is maintained through a school ethos called; 'The Rainbow Way'.  

'Six of the best' values have been assigned to colours of the rainbow and coloured flags flying out the front of the school were welcoming reminders of these school values to students, parents and visitors.

Connie Kis Andersen's song; 'The Colours of Kind'' has been written to these specifications and can be heard towards the end of the promotional clip above, or in it's entirety in the graphic clip also shown above.

While all musical copyright (music, lyrics and masters) remain the property of Kismana Music, Connie Kis Andersen has granted Carson Street School a royalty-free license to use her song.  This was done as a donation, and in support of the school ethos and values.  Namely as a demonstration of being, 'The Community Kind'.
